About Mataura Masjid
Mataura Masjid was officially opened to the New Zealand public on Friday, 2 Ramadan 1439 (18 May 2018), commemorated by the call of athan performed by Mataura Muslim’s Association first president, Haji Zamberi Mat Yunus.
Since it’s establishment, the masjid serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center for learning, unity and spiritual growth for the muslim community in Mataura and its surrounding areas.
